Satpara Lake is situated at an elevation of 2,636 meters (8,650 ft) above sea level and is spread over an area of 2.5 km. Hunza is a district in the northern part of Gilgit-Baltistan, famous for its extraordinary natural beauty. The highest peak of the Karakoram mountains – Rakaposhi 7,788 m/ 25,551 ft is visible from Hunza Valley, The scenic Karakoram Highway is the main road crossing Hunza (continuing into China).
